Hi, I'm Dominic.

Let me tell you a little about myself.

I come from a musical background, having started playing drums at the age of 12. My mum and dad bought me a drum kit and I was over the moon. I started to play and practice every day, annoying some neighbours in the street.

Over the years I have successfully played in many bands of differing genres and styles.

In my late teens I became interested in the relationship between drumming and lyrics, how they both relied on rhythm and form and how they could both be structured to 'say something meaningful' in conjunction with music.

So, I decided to start building this skill as well. As expected, just like learning an instrument, it was a learning curve, seeing what worked, what didn't and honing the craft. Now, I have been published as a poet in many different books and have written many lyrics for the bands I have played with, and for others.

I continued following my path into playing, performing and writing, which eventually led me into teaching. I took a qualification as a Music Facilitator in 1997. I then started teaching drums on a one to one basis, then moved into local schools as a peripatetic drum teacher. From here I was offered part-time work at West Herts College, teaching music on the level 2 and 3 Music Performance courses. In 2003 I was offered a full-time position, which I accepted and gained my Certificate in Education in 2007.

I have always been fascinated with the big questions in life, and during my late teens and twenties found myself absorbed in books covering the different views of psychology, philosohpy, the world's religions and other related topics. These ideas and themes were something that constantly came up in my lyrics and poetry. I therefore decided to gain a professional qualification in Hypnotherapy and Psychoanalysis and its use as a tool for personal growth. I studied with the Hypnotherapy Control Board under the tutelage of Neil French, a world leader in this field.

I qualified in 1999.

Over the years, as a consistent grade 1 teacher (in both a pastoral sense and as a musical performer) I have used my knowledge and skills of pedagogy (science of teaching) and psychology (including hypnosis) with students to maximise their ability to improve in all aspects of their musical and personal lives.

In my view, there is nothing more satisfying and rewarding than helping another individual move from their current self, through a personal journey of learning and discovery, to becoming the person they wish to be.

That leads us to the present day.

After nearly two decades of teaching and coaching in educational establishments, I am now in a position to make use of all my skills and qualifications, offering bespoke coaching and therapy on a one-to-one basis, combining my passions as a Hypnotherapist, Psychoanalyst, Teacher, and Performance Coach, so that I may help you move from your current self into the person you wish to be.

I can help you grow your wings!
